Over 6 percent of Californian women are physically abused by an intimate partner each year. More than 40 percent of all Californian women were abused by an intimate partner during their lifetime. Estimates range in the hundreds regarding the number of women each year who are victims of homicides at the hands of their own husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, partners or former partners. A growing number of men are coming forward who are also caught in the cross-fire of domestic violence. If you're reading this because you or someone you care about is being physically abused; perpetrating abuse or has a friend or loved one that is caught in other ways in the cross-fire domestic violence you can see you are not alone.
